Summer lovin...had me a blast.

I have been having such a blast with my girls that I have seriously neglected my blogging duties. In an effort to catch us up to date on all the fun festivities, I have posted a million pictures. (I know, so out of the norm for me...hee hee) OK, so we started off the month finishing up my biology and psychology classes. Woohoo!! I have decided to take the summer off before jumping into Anatomy this fall. And I have literally taken the summer off..we are talking play play play play! I love it! So after I took my Biology final, we immediately checked into the Sheraton Desert Oasis in Scottsdale for four days. My Grandma Riding was so kind and asked us to use up some of her time share days at the resort. And not wanting be impolite and say no we totally took her up on the offer. How could we not? A free vacation? We are totally there! We loved that it was only ten minutes away, but it still felt like we were away from reality. In fact, one night Tracy took the girls for us and Jon and I had a fun night alone and even went to the Ocean Club for dinner. Yummy.

Harly and I chillin by the pool.
Taking a soak in the awesome jacuzzi tub.

Jadyn and I chillin at the pool.
The girls have been begging us for a slip and slide for quite some time. We were leary about getting one becuase we can't stand the whole smash grass and muddy yard that it creates. But we decided to relax a bit and let them get one. However, we told them that they had to pay for half of it. The girls agreed to those terms and now we have our very own slip and slide. The girls love it and our grass has not suffered too much. It's a total win win situation!

Who could say no to a face like that!

Sady got in on the action also. She loved jumping over the girls as they slid down the slide.
It was pretty funny!
This week we discovered an awesome secret about the zoo....it is so beautiful and fun when you go at 7 am! We went with our friends, the Petersons, and had an absolute blast! It was basically empty, nice and cool and by lunchtime we were ready to go. We also love the splash pad! I have never gone during the summer just because it is so stinking hot, but now that I know we can go early when it is cool, I think I might try it again. We love the zoo!

Notice Jadyn's missing top tooth. She just lost it the day before! Woohoo!

For Family Home Evening, we decided to go to Joe's Crab Shack down by the Mills Mall with Daniel and Melia. It was so much fun! They have a nice play place outside and the kids spent most of the time on it. Which meant a nice peaceful dinner for the parents. We always love that. During dinner, the strobe lights came on and the music got really loud. Our little dancer, Harly, instanteously got up and started dancing in the middle of the restaurant. She got her cousins and sister to join in on the fun. We love our cousins!

Also, this past weekend, Jon and I took a small vaca with just the two of us. Ooh la la! (sorry no pictures included) We spent Friday and Saturday at The Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale. It was amazing! We had massages and hung out in the spa on Friday. I totally loved it! I could seriously get used to the pampered lifestyle. Later that night we had dinner at the yummy italian restaurant at the resort, rode the gondolas and sipped on our virgin pina coladas as lwe istened to the live music at the resort. We have always loved this place. It was where we went for our first date, so its very sentimental for us. It was such a fun time to just relax and get away for just a quick trip!
OK, so that pretty much sums up our month. We have just had a blast! In addition to all this fun stuff, we have been spending time at the Harkins Summer Movies and relaxing in the pool. We just love summer!

Also, how do you get your kids up and ready for the zoo by 7am???
