This past weekend, Jon and I took a trip to Puerta Penasco to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had so much fun! I have never been to Rocky Point before so I was not sure what to expect. It was so beautiful! We stayed at a beautiful place that I would highly recommend-Laguna Shores Golf and Country Club. It was the typical beautiful tropical getaway that you dream of or read about in magazines. It is north of Rocky Point and is a gated community with its own beach so it is very secluded and did I mention gorgeous? I could not believe how quiet it was out there and time seemed to just stand still. Here are some of my favorite things about this trip:
Boat ride in the ocean with a ton of dolphins swimming around us. They were so close, you could almost touch them.
The amazing seafood. So very fresh and yummy!
Our favorite pollo restaurant with delicious homemade tortillas.
The cute little town of puerta penasco and the fun little shops.
Beautiful beach views from our private house that we stayed at.
They had these really nice bed like lounges along the beach that I have always thought would be super fun to lounge around in.
Last, but definitely not least, the wonderful alone time that Jon and I were able to have together. It was definitely a second honeymoon for us. (thanks family for watching our two little stinkers. you are so awesome!)
Also, on our way down to Mexico, we stopped in Ajo. Jon had a case he had to do before the Judge down there. It is the smallest, cutest little town. While we were down there, we checked out the old mine, which was amazing to see. We had fun just checking out a new place we had never been before.
If anyone is looking for a great vacation, I would totally recommend Puerto Penasco. We can't wait to go back with the kids this summer. Woohoo!!

It looks like you guys were the only ones in the whole resort. How nice is that?! It looks so peaceful and, of course, without any kids with you it would have to be peaceful. Woo Hoo!! Congratulations! I'm glad you had a great time!
How fun that you got away. I'm so glad! When is your anniversary? It looked really gorgeous. JOsh and I will have to take a trip soon. Fun fun!
OH MY GOSH!! It looks like you had a week-end in paradise!! Congratulations on 11 years!! YEA!!! That's so great, and I'm so so so so happy for you two!!!

And to think that everyone on the news is telling people not to go to Mexico but I beg to differ from those pictures you took it looks amazing down there, I hope to go down some time.
What beautiful scenery! It looks like you guys had a nice getaway. We've never been to Rocky Point but have been thinking about making the drive down there.
