A little bit of everything

I thought I would post a few random pics and talk about what we have been up to lately. Unfortunately, my pictures still post the exact opposite of how I want them. Frustrating! But here we go:
Last Monday we had a Collins Family Home Evening BBQ at the park near our house. It was lots of fun. However, the next few days everyone in the entire Collins clan started dropping like flies with this awful stomach flu. We thought that we avoided it, until this week, this is a picture of Jadyn today. After making it through her field trip to the zoo, she went to the nurse becuase she did not feel well. Well, the nurse called me and said she had a fever of 101 and needed to come home. We were this close to avoiding the whole icky sick thing. Poor Jadyn! We are supposed to go to Universal Studios tomorrow, so I hope she gets feeling better. I know she would be really sad if we couldn't make it.

On Friday, Jadyn's kindergarten class had it's Spring Sing. It was very cute. They perfomed all of the songs that they have learned this year. And might I say that Jadyn was the star of the show. She was rockin out the entire time and was such a little cutie! (She is the one with the white sunglasses and hat. This face is so typical Jadyn. She is my little performer.)

Her entire Kindergarten class posing for a picture. She has the best teacher. We just love her!

Action shots...the lighting was not the best.

OK, this is Nicolas doing a little dance on the picnic table at our little family BBQ.

OK, this is the after shot of my girls being buried in the sand. You would think that Harly's face is like that because she is super dirty. Nope, she just didn't want to stand still to take the picture. Silly Harly, you are such a cutie.

The action shot....buring each other in the sand.

This is what Harly chooses to wear when mom lets her pick out her outfit. She does a pretty great Job! She is definitely my little sassy girl.

Last week, we also had our Relief Society Birthday Party. I was very stressed out up until the time it was actually over. But I was very happy with how it turned out. We had a society night complete with fancy hats, jewels, tea party foods and yummy desserts. It was so much fun dressing up and eating the yummy food. I discovered a new love-cucumber sandwhiches. They are simply scrumptious!
And for anyone who didn't know already, I am going back to school. I have decided that I want to get my RN. I am very excited about this. Right now I am taking a couple prereqs before I get into a nursing program. I never took psychology or anatomy while I was at Ricks, so I get to take these before I actually start the Nursing program. Right now I am taking my Psychology class. I have really loved it! I love learning about this interesting subject and I love being back at school. I really appreciate it much more this time around. I think before I was more interested in playing and wasn't really serious like I should be. This time is just amazing...I have absolutely loved it! I begin my Biology class on Monday. (I have to take this class as a prereq for Anatomy) I am excited for this one also. I just love school!
Along with all the other crazy stuff we have been up to, I have decided to run the St. George Marathon. Woohoo!!! I just signed up this past week and will know if I have made it into the lottery. I really hope that I get in. My dear friends Courtney and Maegan will be doing it also. I am really excited! We were talking on Saturday during our long run and I think we are going to train to get a Boston Marathon qualifying time. I am just so very excited! Running is truly my new passion. It is so amazing, I love how it makes me feel and the sense of accomplishment that it gives me. Yay!

I am totally cracking up at Harly's poses!! I am sorry Jadyn got sick. Poor Jadyn. But her pictures from school were so cute. She is Little Miss Optimism! She just loves life. It is wonderful. Good luck on your race. You are brave! I ran two miles today and then threw up. Hehe.

Good luck with the Marathon training...Chris's sister has ran the St George one several times. I remember her saying it was freezing in the morning.

Okay so I hope this makes sense... After your pics are downloaded to your post you can move them around...just hit preview to see what order they are in then copy and paste the code (I dunno what the technical term is) for each pic to where you want it. If you do that and it still comes out wrong...I am sorry... I hope Jadyn is feeling better...I feel like we have gone from one illness to the next....the unfortunate part is the mom is either up with the kids or sick herself...and being pregnant doesn't help the situation... but hey it is getting warmer and I am almost done!

Wow! The pictures of Jadyn at her Kindergarten singing concert thing, reminds me so much of Dylan. What silly kids. He still keeps his picture of the two of them on his dresser. =)
