Last week, we went to my Grandpa Riding's funeral. It was a beautiful event. We decided to stay at a hotel down in Mesa, so that we would not have to drive back and forth. This turned out to be so great! It was like a mini vacation. The girls love staying at hotels and ordering room service. (a habit I am not sure I like that we have started... but oh well.) The entire time was a great experience. We had so much fun with all of our family and it was just a wonderful feeling the entire time we were there. Well, they had a viewing the night before the funeral with these awesome displays set up chronically his life. It was so awesome looking at all the amazing things he had done throughout his life. He was one amazing man! When he was in the Navy, he was a boxer. Which I thought was pretty cool. At the boxing display, they actually had his boxing shorts on the table with some pics of him boxing. I couldnt believe how tiny the shorts looked. I think they said he competed in the 132 lb class. He was so little. Its hard to imagine my sweet little grandpa boxing in a ring. It made me chuckle a bit. He was such an awesome grandpa! He loved us so much and had a very special place in his heart for our little girls. We love you and will miss you tons Grandpa!

That is kinda cool that he was a boxer! Did they have pictures of him boxing? Glad you got to see family and that it was a good experience.
Those are the kind of funerals I don't mind going to. It sounds like he lived a very full and exciting life. And I'm sure the girls totally LOVED the whole hotel stay and being spoiled by grandma & grandpa thing.

I laughed so hard when I read about your girls and room service!! So hilarious!! It sounds like you had a wonderful time with your family!! I loved seeing the pictures of all your siblings! I can't believe how grown-up they are!! WOW!!
